Visa is an official authorization to enter a country. You may not be able to travel to or enter the country if you do not obtain an appropriate visa.

The applicant submit a request with the requirements in the Japanese consulate directly.
Once the passport is ready to pick up, make an appointment with the consulate.
Submit a request from KAUST portal: go to GA eservices > Visa Services> Passport pick up
Provide the copy of the receipt and the appointment details to GA center.
Once the GA representative collect the original passport, the GA will send it to your address by the UPS (mail carrier).

Copy of a valid exit re-entry visa
The applicant identification certificate from KAUST stating salary, iqama number, position and date of hiring.
Two 3.5×4.5 size recent photos(not more than three months) with white background (no glasses)
Trip details (ticket and hotel booking)
Stamped bank statement from the bank for the last three months
For business or study visa, invitation letter

As per the Japanese policies, the applicants must apply by themselves unless it is online visa.
The applicant must send all required documents to the consulate by email, and wait for the reply. They will arrange an appointment.
The passport must be valid for at least six months and three blank pages
