Visa (Chinese)

Visa is an official authorization to enter a country. You may not be able to travel to or enter the country if you do not obtain an appropriate visa.

Should Know

Once all requirements are ready, submit a request from KAUST portal: Go to the GA eservices > Visa Services > Apply for visa
Send by UPS (mail carrier) the requirements to GA center
GA will send a receipt after delivering the documents to the Chinese consulate.
Once you get a contact from the Chinese consulate, submit a request from KAUST portal Go to the GA eservices > Visa Services > Passport pickup
Send by UPS the original receipt.
Once your passport is collected, GA will send you your passport by UPS.

All steps, requirements and fees are subject to change at any time depending on the updated regulations of the country.
Iqama copy must be the print out of Electronic Iqama from Absher or Tawakkalna services.
Online form by choosing applying from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Print out all the form with QR code.
All the forms must be printed with QR code. Without the QR code, application is not accepted.
Signature added after printing must be matched with your passport
Please fill the name, same as your passport. If you have 2nd or 3rd name, please fill in the first name section. If the name is not matched with the passport, the application will be rejected.
Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey nationalities can only apply for business visa. (not tourist visa) and Government Invitation with QR code which addressing Consulate-General of the people’s republic of China in Jeddah through the inviter is required as additional document. For Lebanon nationality applicant who previously had Chinese visa is an exception for this.
The visa is only valid for 90days from the issuance. The applicant must enter China within the visa validity.
