Government Visa Issuance
A Government Visit Visa is an entry permit for a short stay in the Kingdom for business purposes only.
*It can be obtained (Single / Multiple entries from 90 – 180 days)

All requests must approved as per the approvals table below
- Fees: - If the visitor visa exceeded the permitted visa duration of stay, or was not extended before expiration date, a penalty of SAR 15,000 to SAR 50,000 and a possible future ban from entering the Kingdom from 5 years to 15 will be applicable.

Visa Approval Letter is valid for 90 days to be submitted to the Saudi Embassy or Consulate
The country/city where the visa will be issued must have a Saudi Embassy or Consulate.
All business visitors should apply through HR at businessvisit.request@kaust.edu.sa
Visiting students should apply through the Graduate Affairs
VSRP should apply through the International Programs Team.
Commencement visitors should apply through the Commencement Team.
A clear copy of the visitor’s passport.
For passports that have been issued 5 years ago or older, the visitor is required to send a copy of a recent picture of them
Copy of the residency permit is required for the applicant who will process their visa in the GCC countries.
For the job title and institution name, it has to be specific as to the current position they are holding in their current institution. (As an introduction letter is required by the Saudi Embassy when submitting their application for visa stamping – the application may get rejected if the information doesn’t match with the letter)
The last two signatures on the form are very important. In the absence of the Department Head, a delegated person can sign on their behalf provided a delegation letter will be submitted to us.
The vise approval letter process takes three business days to be issued.
