Change Nationality

This service applies to anyone who wants to change nationality, the applicant must obtain both new and old nationality passports at the time of submission. The change of nationality is normally requested by HR/Graduate Affairs. The passport from the old country must be canceled in order to proceed with process.  Applicant cannot travel until Passport office approves.

  1. Fill the Change of Nationality Application form below

  2. Visit GA Center to submit the completed application and required documents. Original passports and Iqama will be returned after 5 working days.

  3. GA Center will send a notification when the approval is done from Passport office, then provide the required documents in GA center. Original passports and Iqama will be returned after 5 working days.

  4. Once your nationality is changed in Absher, provide the original Iqama in GA center.

  5. GA center will send a notification when the new Iqama is ready.

At the stage of step 2
  • A completed Change of Nationality Application.

  • The original passports from the old and new nationality.

  • Clear copies of above passports

  • Proof of National Address from SPL website

  • NOC (no objection letter) from both the old and the new nationality embassy/ consulate with MOFA attestation

  • The original Iqama

  • A clear copy of the Iqama

  • A copy of the supporting documents, if any

  • Two 3x2cm size personal photos with white background (no glasses)

At the stage of step 3
  • Cancelled old nationality passport

  • All other returned documents from step 2
