Safe package receiving at KAUST: recommended guidelines

To ensure the safety and security of your packages, you are recommended to implement the following procedures during the receiving process.
Verification of delivery: Never share a one-time password (OTP) with a delivery person until you have physically received the shipment, particularly for high-value items.
Receiving at a secure location: If you are unable to receive a delivery at the gate or a designated receiving area, ensure the shipment is securely delivered to a UPS access point before sharing the OTP.
Supervision of received packages: Avoid leaving deliveries unattended outside your residence for extended periods, as this increases the risk of theft.
Alternative delivery options: In your absence, consider arranging for a trusted individual to receive and secure the package on your behalf. You can also reschedule delivery to a more convenient time.
