Birth Certificate Issuance

The Saudi Birth Certificate is an official document that proves the person was born in the Kingdom.

Execution Duration: 10 business days
Fees: Free for issuance

Steps
Should Know

Complete the following steps through MoI portal (Absher) once receiving a SMS from the ministry about the new born registration.

Log-in Absher, go to My services > Civil Affairs > New born registration
Continue for the delivery request. If not found, go to my services > Postal Delivery Services > Request Postal Document Delivery
If does not work, go back to home, and choose again My services > Civil Affairs > New Born Registration > continue for the delivery request and the payment
Once you finish the delivery fee payment, the certificate will be delivered to your National Address within 10 business days.

Saudi birth certificate is required to issue Iqama or to add a child to a Saudi family card or to any other official Saudi document.
It is a self-service through Absher and the certificate will be delivered by Saudi Post. You must register National Address on SPL website before applying for the certificate.
50 SR fine will be charged if the application for the birth certificate request is not submitted from Absher within 30 days from the birth date.
